Policies, Terms and Conditions
It is your responsibility to check your booking confirmation carefully as soon as you receive it and contact us immediately if any information on the confirmation appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later. Please review your confirmation information carefully.
Cancellation policy: SBACo pays out considerable costs prior to the start of all trips. A full refund, minus a $35.00 per person processing fee, is available up to 7 days prior to the trip. No refund will be granted for a cancellation within 7 days of the trip. Reservations booked within 7 days of the trip are non-refundable. SBACo reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or adjust the trip due to dangerous weather conditions.
Date change policy: You may rescheduled for a different date or tour up to 7 days prior to the trip for an additional 15% processing fee, subject to availability. Any subsequent rescheduling will also be subject to this fee.
Guests under 18 years of age MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign their release forms. If you need this paperwork sent to you ahead of time, please contact our office.
Lost or Stolen Items: Santa Barbara Adventure Company/Channel Islands Adventure Company is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen on your trip. Please make sure you have all your personal items with you at the end of your trip. Thank you.
Please note your own Client Responsibilities: All clients will be required to follow the safety policies and procedures of Santa Barbara Adventure Company/Channel Islands Adventure Company and its guides and all clients will be required to sign a Participant Assumption of Risks, Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks and Indemnity Agreement in favor of Santa Barbara Adventure Company/Channel Islands Adventure Company upon their arrival. Our staff will give instructions before each trip and it is important that you listen and do as they say. You will assume the responsibility for many decisions affecting your safety during this trip. These activities can be physically demanding with inherent elements of risk and danger beyond our control. We do not assume liability for personal injury or death. We offer trips requiring various degrees of fitness. We are not qualified to evaluate your fitness as appropriate for any given trip. If you are overweight or in poor physical condition or have other health concerns, you should consult your physician before the trip.

Meeting Spot: Coastline Kayak Tour is meeting at HASKELL's BEACH which is only 12 miles north of Santa Barbara. Haskells Beach is near 8301 Hollister Ave, Goleta, CA 93117.
Guide gratuity: Our guides do their best to ensure you have a great time. It is customary, but always optional, to tip your guide if you had a positive experience. Guide gratuity is not included in your reservation fee and should be paid directly to your guide (10-15% is standard).
Time: 9:30am – 12:30 pm
Directions to Haskell's Beach:
From the South: Follow HWY 101 north of Santa Barbara approximately 12 miles. Take Exit #110 for Winchester Canyon Road toward Hollister Ave. Continue onto Calle Real for .3mi. Then turn left on Cathedral Oaks Road, which will take you over the freeway. Then turn right onto Hollister avenue. In .6 miles you'll turn left into a parking lot for the beach (pictured below), which is where your guide will meet you for your safety talk and walk you down to the beach.
Equipment List for Kayaking Trips
Although we offer dry bags to help keep gear dry, everything that comes on the kayaking trip runs the risk of getting wet. We therefore recommend that you only bring personal gear that can get wet or damp during the trip. Items that must stay dry such as cameras or other electronic devices, change of clothes or person affects should stay in your vehicle.
What you will need
-Sun Screen (SPF 30 or higher).
-A hat with a brim.
-Sunglasses with a neck strap such as "Chums" or “Croakies”
-1-quart (or greater) water bottle filled with water - please help us reduce our environmental footprint by bringing a re-usable bottle.
-Wet shoes such as "Tevas" or "Aqua Socks" or an old pair of tennies.
-Swim suit or swim trunks
-Sweatshirt
-A beach towel
-Waterproof camera (recyclable). (optional)
-Polyester shirt or other synthetic clothing (layering). (optional)
-Lunch (optional, due to COVID we are not providing lunch for this tour)
To ensure proper equipment, please provide your heights & weights. Please let us know if anyone in your group is over 230 pounds. Thank you
